MINT

FROM SEED TO HARVEST

All mint varieties are easy to grow, but some offer unique flavors. Spearmint, peppermint, apple mint, chocolate mint, orange mint, and lemon mint are a few popular varieties!

Picking a Mint Variety

Mint plants need full sun to part shade-- 4-8 hours of sun daily-- to grow well. They also like rich, well-draining soil and regular watering.

MINT Plant Care

Sow mint seeds ¼" deep, spaced 12" apart. If you're growing mint from starts, plant them 12-18" apart in containers. Water them in thoroughly and give them full or part sun.

PLANTING MINT

Start harvesting mint 8-10 weeks after sowing, or once plants are established. Cut or pinch the stems down to 1-2" above the soil. Tip: harvest only 1/3 of the plant at a time!
